“Vespa” Rui Horta

“There are things inside our heads. Like a buzzing gnawing through our thoughts.” Vespa (wasp) begins with these words a play about a head on the verge of exploding. Rui Horta’s head. A head inhabited by an insect that says the most inappropriate things. Things we have inside us. Some unspeakable, some we usually omit. Central name of the New Portuguese Dance, owner of an expressive international career and founder of “O Espaço do Tempo” (The Space of Time), the choreographer returns here as a dancer, three decades after having stepped on a stage for the last time.
