Winner Show of the XXV Regional Festival of the School Theatre – Carlos Varela. The festival started in 1993 with the name “1st Meeting of School Theatre Groups of the Autonomous Region of Madeira”, as an initiative of the theatre group “O Moniz” from the Jaime Moniz Secondary School, with Carlos Varela as founder. In the following year, the meeting’s name was changed to Regional Festival of School Theatre. In 2001, as an homage to the teacher Carlos Varela, the festival andthe theatre group “O Moniz” included his name in both initiatives.
