Madeira PianoFest

The five concerts present a combination of world known famous artists together with young progressing stars. This edition is mainly dedicated to four hands piano plays and two pianos, showing various styles and composers with important plays in headline.

From 5 to 13 November 2016

Program:

November 5 – 6 pm

  • Pascal Rogé & Ami Hakuno Rogé (França/Japão)

Four hands and solo piano recital. Works by Poulenc, Satie, Debussy, Ravel. The piece “La Belle Excentrique” and the ballet “Parade” will be interpreted.

November 6 – 6 pm:

  • Galina & Irina Chistiakova (Rússia)

Two piano recital performed by Russian pianists who studied at the Moscow Music Conservatory. Nowadays, one of pianists is studying in Italy and the other one in Germany. Both have won more than twenty awards individually. Works by Mozart, Brahrris, Arensky, Rachmaninov

November 9 – 6 pm:

  • Carles Lama & Sofia Cabruja (Espanha)

Four hands piano recital. This concert celebrates the 100th anniversary of the composer’s death and the premiere of the opera E. Granados Goyescas Opera (Arrangement by A. Espinosa).

November 12 – 6 pm:

  • Danae & Kiveli Dorken (Grécia)

Four hands piano recital by two young sisters. On the program, the four hands piano version of “The Rite of Spring” by Stravinsky deserves a special mention. Includes works by Mozart, Schubert, Grief, Stravinsky.

November 13 – 6 pm:

  • Artur Pizarro & Rinaldo Zhok (Portugal/Itália)

Two Piano Recital “ Viva España!” Works by Bizet, Albéniz, Falla, Infante, Cassadó, Longas
