Conference: “Mobility and accessibility of tourism in Portuguese cities in 2030″

The strong development of tourism in Portugal is creating new requests to the networks of mobility, so that the country becomes more accessible. However, this development has limits that have to do, not only with the tourist operation, but also with the saturation levels of all the infrastructure, that upstream and downstream, support tourism activities. The concept of PDT (Director Plans of Tourism) compatible with the sustainable urban development, in particular, the environmental plan will be one of the fundamental aspects to consider if we want to preserve the quality of life of residents and tourists. Organized by ITS Portugal, this conference aims for a better understanding about the connection between Tourism and mobility. With debates and studies presentations, this meeting will try to annalise the capability and opportunity’s that this sector offers for the future and progress of tourism.
