Acclaimed as “Paganini of the trombone”, the Macedonian trombonist Kiril Ribarski developed an international career that saw him perform in over 40 countries on all continents. He performed in some of the best-known international festivals, such as Dubrovnik, Autumn in Rome, Les Dimanches de Bois de Bruxelles, Porto-Heli Festival (Grece), Rio de Janeiro Festival, Grieg Festival (Bergen, Norway), Julita Festival (Sweden) and was the soloist with orchestras such as Philharmonic of Belgrade, Novosibirsk, Zagreb, symphonic orchestras in Cairo, São Paolo, Campinas, Ljubljana, and chamber orchestras Haute Normandie, Zagreb Soloists, Pro musica (Belgrade), and Rotterdam Kamerorkest, among many. He recorded various LPs and CDs and 56 composers from all around the world dedicated their works to him.
The pianist Milica Sperovik-Ribarski studied in Belgrade and afterwards with renowned pianists Vlado Perlemuter and Aldo Ciccolini in Paris. She performed as a soloist and in duo with her husband in dozens of countries all over the world and recorded various CDs.
The programme of the concert includes, in the first part, works for piano solo by eminent composers for piano, such as Chopin, Debussy and Ravel, while in the second part the duo will perform various virtuosistic transcriptions of well-known works, such as Monti’s Czardas, de Falla’s Habanera and Ritual Fire Dance, Albéniz’ Malagueña, as well as original works dedicated to the trombonist and  one of his own works.
