Show: “Variações, de António”
António and Amália are about to sing in the same stage. There are only a few hours left. It will be one of the most important moments in the life of the singer, barber, from Lisbon and Minho, who was never just one thing, but a man of many sides. The play focuses on a moment in the life of Variações: 26th of May 1983, when the musician performed in the first part of a show of Amália Rodrigues, his great idol, at Aula Magna. The monologue is fictional and follows the show’s rehearsal, imagining that António Variações asked to be alone on stage.
