“ A cultura não existe para enfeitar a vida, mas para a transformar” – Sophia de Mello Breyner
The National Arts Plan aims to strengthen the arts in schools as a tool for the various disciplines, proposing teaching resources that take advantage of artistic expressions to work on Citizenship and Development contente. I tis na initiative of the government áreas of Culture and Education and will be developed in partnership with local government, private entities and civil society, with the missiono f giving a central role to the arts and heritage in lifelong training.
Professor, essayist and curator, Paulo Pires do Vale is a graduate and master in Philosophy from FCSH, Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He teaches at the Portuguese Catholic University, at the Department of Architecture at UAL and at Maria Ulrich School of Early Childhood Educators, where he coordinates the Postgraduate Degree in Artistic Practices and Pedagogical Processes.
He wrote, “Everything is something else. Desire in Hegel’s Phenomenology of the Spirit ”and countless essays for books, magazines and catalogs of collective and individual exhibitions, focusing on the relationship between art, education and society.
