Iphigenia
A contemporary adaptation of the Greek tragedy featuring the cast of the D. Maria Pia II Theatre and guest actors. Stationed in the city of Aulis, waiting for the favourable winds to allow them to sail to Troy and rescue Helen, the Greeks are surprised by a terrible oracle: Agamemnon, King of Argos, would have to sacrifice his daughter Iphigenia so that the wind would blow again. In the rewriting of the Euripides text by Tiago Rodrigues, it is through the waves of his own memory that the characters sail, in an attempt to tell the story.
